We're setting up an Incorporated Society in order to formalise the governance and operations of Bike Hub Nelson.
During a short (15 minute) AGM
At the 8 March BBQ at the Hub which starts from 5:30pm, we'll have a short AGM (at around 6:45pm for 20 minutes) where we'll elect the committee including:
We will put the constitution forward for approval. This been approved by the steering committee - click here to see a copy.
We can then file our application to establish Bike Hub Nelson as an incorporated society. This means we can have our own bank a/c, obtain charitable status (so we can issue receipts to donors for tax purposes) and will enable us to put in funding applications.
